DJ Edgar grew up in Tijuca (north zone of Rio de Janeiro). Edgar started his DJ career in 1990, being employed as a DJ for one of Rio's biggest and most known Baile Funk sound systems and became touring DJ for baile funk superstar Mr. Catra.
